The Agência de Desenvolvimento do Sertão Central Cearense (ADESCC) and FAUNIQ formalized, this Tuesday, an important Institutional Cooperation Agreement aimed at strengthening territorial governance, institutional integration, and sustainable regional development of Sertão Central Cearense. The meeting was attended by Dr. Aluizia Rocha, CEO of FAUNIQ, and Felipe Matheus, Administrative-Financial Director of the institution, in addition to representatives of the board of ADESCC. On the occasion, the details of the new layout of the Agency's institutional space were also aligned, further strengthening the strategic partnership between the institutions and expanding the capacity for welcoming, coordination, and receiving partners, leaders, and visitors of the ADESCC 2033 Intelligent Territorial Platform. During the meeting, the integration of FAUNIQ into the ADESCC Advantage Club was also agreed upon, an initiative that seeks to expand institutional benefits, qualification opportunities, strategic connections, and actions aimed at strengthening regional human capital, bringing education, innovation, and territorial development even closer. The cooperation between ADESCC and FAUNIQ expands the integration between regional development, education, innovation, professional training, and territorial intelligence, consolidating a collaborative environment aimed at building strategic solutions for Sertão Central Cearense. Conecta NE — Edition 06/2026: Rede Nordestina de Territórios highlights Sertão Central's engagement with academia, industry, and governance

The Rede Nordestina de Territórios published Edition 06/2026 of the bulletin Conecta NE — ADRs em Movimento, with an editorial highlight on the work of ADESCC in Sertão Central Cearense. The publication brings together initiatives from Development Agencies, universities, the productive sector, and local leaders who have been consolidating integrated strategies for governance, education, innovation, sustainability, and institutional cooperation in the Brazilian Northeast. In the section “Territórios em Movimento”, the newsletter highlights the participation of ADESCC in a strategic meeting at the Instituto SESI SENAI de Tecnologia, alongside institutions such as SEBRAE, Unicatólica, UFC, and FATEC. The article reinforces that the development of Sertão Central depends on the connection among academia, industry, and territorial governance, consolidating partnerships and solutions that generate innovation and concrete opportunities for the region. The edition also presents the progress of other territories in the Rede Nordestina: the 1º Seminário de Educação e Conexão da Ibiapaba, held by Agência Líder Ibiapaba in partnership with UNINTA Campus Tianguá; the participation of Oeste do Ceará in the VII Encontro LIDER — Territórios Empreendedores Médio Mearim, in Bacabal (MA); and the 2ª Reunião do Fórum das ADRs, held by ADECE during Transformar Juntos Ceará 2026, in partnership with SEBRAE. In the partnerships and governance block, the publication records the Technical-Scientific Cooperation Agreement signed between Universidade Estadual Vale do Acaraú (UVA) and Agência Líder Ibiapaba, supported by IADE, and the presence of AGELIDER at the Juazeiro Open, along the Bahia–Pernambuco axis. In territorial development, it highlights the launch of the Programa Sol do Leste Orgânico, with strong adherence from municipalities and the participation of Banco do Nordeste. For ADESCC, recognition in Conecta NE consolidates the view that Sertão Central Cearense already stands, at a Northeast regional scale, as a benchmark in articulation among Development Agencies, the science, technology, and innovation ecosystem, and collaborative territorial governance — structural axes of the Agenda 2033 of ADESCC.

ADESCC participates in a seminar at FIEC and strengthens strategic coordination for the development of Sertão Central

The Agência de Desenvolvimento do Sertão Central Cearense (ADESCC) participated in the seminar “Estratégias para acelerar o desenvolvimento sustentável no Ceará”, held at the headquarters of the Federação das Indústrias do Estado do Ceará. The meeting brought together important political, business, and institutional leaders to discuss paths aimed at strengthening the economy of Ceará, innovation, infrastructure, and sustainable regional development. Representing ADESCC and the municipality of Quixeramobim, André Ricardo; Willyans Matos, financial director of ADESCC; Cirilo Pimenta; Romulo Filho; Valdemir de Sousa; and Wellton Brito attended the event. During the panel, Alci Porto presented a comparative overview of Ceará, highlighting the contrasts between the Região Metropolitana de Fortaleza and the interior of the state, especially regarding development opportunities, competitiveness, and territorial strengthening. In his presentation, he emphasized the actions carried out by SEBRAE Ceará as a catalyst agent of regional development, based on “three articulated axes — structure, bring together, and dynamize — to transform territories into motion”, advocating for a systemic, continuous, and strategic action, rather than just ad hoc. Alci Porto also stressed the relevance of the ADRs (Regional Development Agencies), mentioning the presence of ADESCC at the event as an example of a strategic instrument of coordination and territorial strengthening. He also highlighted the importance of the Salas do Empreendedor across municipalities in Ceará as fundamental mechanisms to support entrepreneurship, business formalization, and revitalization of the local economy. Another highlight was the presentation by Roberto Nogueira, CEO of Brisanet, who shared data on Brisanet's growth trajectory, its technological evolution, and the company's current positioning in the Brazilian telecommunications, innovation, and connectivity landscape, highlighting regional leadership in a strategic sector for contemporary economic development. Cirilo Pimenta, in turn, presented an analysis of the current scenario of Sertão Central, addressing the region's challenges and potential in light of new structural investments, particularly in the context of the Dry Port of Quixeramobim, Transnordestina, and the regional economic development opportunities that have been consolidating in the interior of Ceará. The participation of ADESCC reinforces the agency's institutional commitment to expanding strategic connections, strengthening dialogue among diverse development stakeholders, and consolidating Sertão Central as a leading territory in sustainable development, innovation, competitiveness, and investment attraction for the interior of Ceará.

ADESCC and ADR Sol do Leste sign technical cooperation agreement to strengthen regional development in Ceará

The Development Agency of Sertão Central Cearense (ADESCC) and the Regional Development Agency Sol do Leste — ADR do Litoral Leste — have signed a technical cooperation agreement to strengthen territorial governance, regional integration, and sustainable development in Ceará. The agreement connects two of the most strategic territories in the state: Sertão Central, with its institutional headquarters in Quixeramobim, a logistics hub in the Ceará hinterland where the Quixeramobim Dry Port and the Transnordestina railway are consolidating; and the Litoral Leste, a tourism, port, and industrial vector articulated with the Pecém Complex. Technical cooperation between the two ADRs expands the capacity for institutional coordination, the exchange of territorial intelligence, and the construction of a shared regional economic development agenda, aligned with the guidelines of the Programa LIDER of Sebrae Ceará, ADECE, and the Fórum das ADRs do Ceará. The agreement reaffirms the commitment to interiorizing development and consolidating Territórios Empreendedores as a collaborative governance model for the Brazilian Northeast. On the Sertão Central axis, the partnership strengthens ADESCC's Agenda 2033 across the pillars of agribusiness and sustainability, innovation, technology and education, and tourism, culture, and creative economy, expanding the connection between the productive hinterland and the exporting coast. On the Litoral Leste axis, ADR Sol do Leste contributes its experience in coastal logistics integration, investment attraction, and international tourism, opening a strategic Sertão–Coast corridor that leverages export routes, integrated productive chains, and shared territorial intelligence. ADESCC's Plataforma Territorial Inteligente now incorporates cooperation with ADR Sol do Leste as an expanded regional governance layer, aligned with best practices of Regional Development Agencies (ADR) recognized nationally and internationally. The movement consolidates Ceará as a benchmark in collaborative territorial governance, regional intelligence, and strategic coordination between complementary territories.

Technical visit to Instituto SESI SENAI Professor Ariosto Holanda — Maracanaú

On the morning of this Thursday, April 30, 2026, ADESCC took part, in Maracanaú, in a technical visit coordinated by SEBRAE to Instituto de Tecnologia SESI SENAI Professor Ariosto Holanda. The delegation was composed of representatives from FATEC Quixeramobim, UFC — Campus Quixadá, Unicatólica, the Secretariat of Economic Development (SDE) of the Municipality of Quixeramobim, and the municipal executive branch of Quixadá. During the visit, we explored the complete facility of the Institute — a national benchmark in applied research, technological development, and specialized technical service provision for industry. SESI SENAI operates in strategic areas such as Food Technology, Mechanical Technology, Automation and Electronics, Information and Communication Technology, Materials, and Metrology, offering R&D solutions, laboratory testing, prototyping, technical training, and innovation consultancy. Technologies developed by the Institute itself were presented — such as the ELMO Helmet (non-invasive ventilation), Retina Fácil, and Face Shield — concrete examples of the innovation potential that can be accessed by Sertão Central of Ceará. For ADESCC, building closer ties with SESI SENAI represents a strategic opportunity to connect our region to a robust industrial technology ecosystem, strengthening the Agribusiness (with emphasis on Food Technology), Industry, and Technology & Innovation axes outlined in Agenda do Sertão Central. We continue coordinating partnerships so that this potential reaches companies, educational institutions, and rural producers in our region.

It was with this vision that we had the honor of moderating the panel at the Seminário de Turismo do Sertão Central, under the theme “Quem faz acontecer: Desafios e Oportunidades de Empreender no Sertão Central”, promoted by SEBRAE. Listening to the panelists brought clarity: love for the territory is what truly enchants the tourist. This affection overflows in the crafting of a piece of jewelry, in the attentiveness of tour guiding, and in the warm welcome of hospitality. It is “doing things with love” that transforms a destination into an unforgettable experience. We also reinforced an essential pillar of our management at the Agency: cooperation. When municipalities unite and present themselves together, everyone grows — we are an innovation and agritourism circuit that gains strength in collectivity. Statement by Vanessa do Carmo — Tourism Coordinator at ADESCC: “Today I took office as Vice President of the Municipal Tourism Council of Quixeramobim — our COMTUR. For me, this is more than a position: it is an expression of love for the territory that welcomed me 20 years ago. This achievement originates through the Regional Development Agency of Sertão Central (ADESCC), fruit of Sebrae's Programa Líder — a movement that drives us to look inward, recognize our strengths, and value the uniqueness of our territory. I learned that, before looking for references outside, we must reclaim what is ours, honor our history, our people, and our culture. When we deeply love our region, there is no other alternative for those who arrive here but to be enchanted and love it too. I believe that tourism is valuation: of the people, the memory, the identity, the place we choose to call home. Joining the Municipal Tourism Council is the opportunity to contribute to the economic development of Sertão Central and strengthen what makes us unique. I move forward with gratitude, purpose, and the certainty that we are building a stronger, more organic, and more authentically ours future. Let's move forward together.”
