The Agência de Desenvolvimento do Sertão Central Cearense (ADESCC) participated in the seminar “Estratégias para acelerar o desenvolvimento sustentável no Ceará”, held at the headquarters of the Federação das Indústrias do Estado do Ceará. The meeting brought together important political, business, and institutional leaders to discuss paths aimed at strengthening the economy of Ceará, innovation, infrastructure, and sustainable regional development. Representing ADESCC and the municipality of Quixeramobim, André Ricardo; Willyans Matos, financial director of ADESCC; Cirilo Pimenta; Romulo Filho; Valdemir de Sousa; and Wellton Brito attended the event. During the panel, Alci Porto presented a comparative overview of Ceará, highlighting the contrasts between the Região Metropolitana de Fortaleza and the interior of the state, especially regarding development opportunities, competitiveness, and territorial strengthening. In his presentation, he emphasized the actions carried out by SEBRAE Ceará as a catalyst agent of regional development, based on “three articulated axes — structure, bring together, and dynamize — to transform territories into motion”, advocating for a systemic, continuous, and strategic action, rather than just ad hoc. Alci Porto also stressed the relevance of the ADRs (Regional Development Agencies), mentioning the presence of ADESCC at the event as an example of a strategic instrument of coordination and territorial strengthening. He also highlighted the importance of the Salas do Empreendedor across municipalities in Ceará as fundamental mechanisms to support entrepreneurship, business formalization, and revitalization of the local economy. Another highlight was the presentation by Roberto Nogueira, CEO of Brisanet, who shared data on Brisanet's growth trajectory, its technological evolution, and the company's current positioning in the Brazilian telecommunications, innovation, and connectivity landscape, highlighting regional leadership in a strategic sector for contemporary economic development. Cirilo Pimenta, in turn, presented an analysis of the current scenario of Sertão Central, addressing the region's challenges and potential in light of new structural investments, particularly in the context of the Dry Port of Quixeramobim, Transnordestina, and the regional economic development opportunities that have been consolidating in the interior of Ceará. The participation of ADESCC reinforces the agency's institutional commitment to expanding strategic connections, strengthening dialogue among diverse development stakeholders, and consolidating Sertão Central as a leading territory in sustainable development, innovation, competitiveness, and investment attraction for the interior of Ceará.
